REQUIRED RENTAL DOCUMENTS
THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ARE
When collecting the vehicle, both the main driver and additional drivers must present a valid Driving Licence with a photocard and a valid Passport.
A driving licence must be presented in legible Roman letters.
A credit card in the name of the main driver is required, with sufficient funds for both the security deposit and for any service or extras requested locally. The card (either credit or debit depending on the destination/supplier) must be in the full name and surname of the driver and display the 16 numbers. The PIN code will be required.
The Flexible Autos voucher is required when picking up your rental car.
If you do not present any of the required documents, the documentation is not valid or you do not have enough funds on your credit card, the car rental agent may refuse to deliver the vehicle, without refunding any amount if the supplier establishes it in its conditions.
Military driving licences, temporary driving licences and copies are not accepted.
IMPORTAN: It is the drivers responsibility to ensure that they have the appropriate licence. Please check with the embassy or consulate in advance.

Italian customers renting with Sicily by Car – Auto Europa for the first time with will be requested a valid identity document. Without this, it will not be possible to proceed with the rental.
All Italian citizens need to provide a valid Italian fiscal code card when picking up rental vehicle.
The following deposit will be debited at the start of the rental:

There is an opportunity to purchase insurance covers to reduce the deposit amounts locally at the time of pick up.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Form of Payment accepted: Amex, Visa Credit Card, Mastercard Credit Card, Mastercard Debit (*), Mastercard Prepaid (*), Maestro (*), Visa Debit (*), Visa Prepaid (*), Visa Electron (*), PostePay with Visa electron logo (*), V Pay (*), PagoBANCOMAT (*), UnionPay debit (*), UnionPay prepaid (*), JCB debit (*) and JCB prepaid (*) regardless of the institution or bank that issued the card.
Form of payment NOT accepted: Cheques, Cash, Diners Club credit card, American Express debit cards, Diners Debit Cards, Credit and Debit cards for electronic use only, Virtual cards
Please note, that payments with credit card may require the PIN of the credit card.
(*) VERY IMPORTANT: The above DEBIT/PREPAID cards marked with an asterisk will only be accepted to pay the deposit for the following car types:
NTMR-A1, MDMR-B, EDMR-C, CDMR-D, CDAE-EEN, CDAE-EEW, ECAR-M1, CDAR-N, CWMR-S, CWMR-SW
and the customer will need to pay locally the "DEBIT PACKAGE" (see cost below).
Please note the above debit/prepaid cards must report the IBAN number (if IBAN is not reported on them, customer must provide the code at the beginning of the rental) and must have a microchip and a Pin code.
As soon as the vehicle is returned, unless a partial or the completely charged amount should be kept, the deposit will be released, through the card or, if not possible, through a money transfer done by Sicily by Car within 6 working days. Providing Your Iban and bic codes is necessary in order to give back your deposit.
Please note that € 3,53 + 16% Airport/DT surcharges + VAT will be deducted from the refunded amount as a service charge for bank transfers to Italian or European IBAN codes, while € 10,60 + 16% Airport/DT Surcharges + VAT will be deducted for extra European bank transfers. Considering the economic value of the vehicle and the limited amount of the card plafond, the delivery of the vehicle could be subject to the incontestable discretion of the desk representative.
The DEBIT/PREPAID CARDS are NOT ACCEPTED for all other car groups:
PTAR-E2, FVMD-G, FVMD-GW, IFBR-H1, IFBR-HW, JGMR-J1, JGMR-JW, PFAR-P, PFAR-PW, UFBD-L, IDAR-N1, IDAR-NW, IFBR-QW, FVAD-U, FVAD-UW.
For these car groups, the driver must be in possession of 2 (TWO) different CREDIT CARDS registered under his name; it is mandatory that one of the above mentioned credit cards must be "gold" or "platinum. Besides, the driver must be in possession of the following requirements:
- telephone number/ mobile number and a local address (including the name of the hotel or the name of the temporany client’s accommodation);
- a copy of the return flight (or train) ticket, and/or cruise cabin card. In no case will be accepted copies of booking.
For any other car group it will be requested one (1) credit card.
This product includes: Car Protection Plus, Pai Plus, Road Assistance Plus and it reduces the deposit amount to:
€ 300 for these car types: NTMR-A1, MDMR-B, EDMR-C, CDMR-D, CDAE-EEN, CDAE-EEW, ECAR-M1
€ 500 for these car types: CDAR-N, CWMR-S,CWMR-SW
The Debit Package cost is:
€ 16,42 + vat +16% per day for these car types: NTMR-A1, MDMR-B, EDMR-C, CDMR-D, CDAE-EEN, CDAE-EEW, ECAR-M1
€ 22,78 + vat +16% per day for these car types: CDAR-N, CWMR-S,CWMR-SW
Unless otherwise indicated all costs indicated in these terms and conditions are subject to local taxes and fees.
The CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) amounts are dependant on the car group:

A damage excess refund policy can be purchased at the time of booking. Clients will still be required to leave a credit card pre authorisation for the excess amount with the local supplier. The client will be able to reclaim the damage excess by providing the police report and damage report on return.
THE FUEL POLICY IS
Please note if returning the hire car on a Sunday, many fuel stations in Italy are closed, and will only operate automated card machines.
Cars will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be returned full. Otherwise the client will be charged for missing fuel, plus a refuelling charge.
It’s important the customer refuels within 10 kilometers from the drop-off point and keep the fuel station ticket.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER REQUIRMENTS ARE
There is an additional driver charge of 7 EUR plus Vat per day, per additional driver.
Your booking is allowed a maximum of 2 additional drivers per rental.
All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements, accompany the main driver when picking the rental car up and sign the rental agreement.
GENERAL RESTRICTIONS ARE
Driving the vehicle without prior consent outside of the hire country will invalidate the agreed insurance coverage.
CROSS BORDER/INTERNATIONAL ONE-WAYS
International one-way travel is NOT available. The vehicle insurance will be deemed void if vehicles are not returned to the agreed pick-up location.
Please confirm, either at the time of booking and/or at the pick-up location, any restrictions and additional costs: if you are intending to drive across the border of the rental country.
Vehicles can be driven to the following countries only: Italy, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, France (and Corsica), England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Croatia and Slovenia.
It is strictly forbidden to drive the vehicles in a country other than the above listed.
NATIONAL ONE-WAY TRAVEL
For National one-way travel, we will confirm the availability and the price of this service once the reservation has been made and we have received a confirmation from the supplier.
THE GRACE PERIOD IS
The supplier establishes a grace period of 59 minutes from the indicated time in the reservation.
Additional collection fees, administrative and out of hours charges may also be applicable if the vehicle is returned late without prior notice.
The client must scrupulously comply with the delivery and return times indicated in his reservation and on his voucher.
Although the number of rental days as well as their price are calculated based on 24-hour periods, some providers charge penalties or even additional days from the exact return time that appears in the reservation, without taking into account the period of 24 hours.
Flexible Autos will not make any refund / compensation for this reason.

With this supplier optional extras are pre-paid and guaranteed if booked in advance. But if you decide to request the extras locally, these are the estimate prices and do not include local taxes.
GPS is not offered as an accessory but it''s standard in some models of vehicles.
Optional Extras, are to be paid locally, the charges not include local taxes and fees. Extras cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability.
SNOW CHAINS: From 15th November until 15th April, in the following areas, the use of snow chains or winter tyres is mandatory:
Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria and the Abruzzi,

If picking up the car In the above regions, if the car is not equipped with snow tires, it will be provided with chains (free of charge from 15nov-15apr).
For rentals in all other regions, the chains will be mandatorily required by the customer, in the case of driving in roads affected by the above-mentioned regulation. In that cases, the snow chains are not free of charge.
For pick-ups during the above period at locations not specifically involved in this regulation, it is exclusively up to customer''s liability to ask for the snow chains if he knows he will have to drive on roads involved in it. The use of www.maps.google.it will allow customers to find out whether some roads on his journey are involved in this or not.
WINTER TYRES: only available on request for a limited number of vehicles
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION

The delivery and collection service is NOT available.
OUT OF HOURS SERVICE
THE OUT OF HOURS SERVICE AVAILABILITY IS
The Out of Hour service is by request basis only. There will be an extra charge of 35.33 EUR + tax will be applied, if the rental vehicle is picked within 1 hour of the location office closing time.
The Out of Hour service is by request basis only. There will be an extra charge of 70.00 EUR + tax will be applied, if the rental vehicle is picked up after 1 hour from the location office closing time.
Flights numbers are essential when collecting you rental vehicle outside of the suppliers main operating hours.
CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS
CANCELLATION AND NO SHOW POLICIES AND FEES
|Cancellation policy and fees: Cancellations are generally free of charge up to 48hrs prior to collection. If your reservation is cancelled within 48 hours of your collection time, charges may apply. Please contact the Flexible Autos call centre to confirm any possible charges.
|No show policy and fees: The booking will be considered a ''''No Show'''' for a number of reasons, but not limited to: failure to collect your rental car at the agreed booked time, if the main driver and any named drivers are unable to present the requested documentation, failure to present a valid driver’s licence, failure to provide a credit card with enough credit for the deposit, or are found to be incapable of driving the vehicle through, alcohol or drugs. A 100% cancellation fee will apply unless otherwise stated. No refunds are payable on cars returned early.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE INFORMATION
In case of a breakdown customers must stay with the car and contact the rental office for assistance. Telephone numbers are on the rental paperwork, please confirm at the time of pick-up of the rental vehicle.
In case of an accident, the customer must remain with the vehicle, and complete a police report at the time of the incident.
In case of theft of the vehicle or vehicle equipment customers must contact the rental office and make a report to the police.
The optional Roadside Assistance Insurance charge is 3 EUR per day, with a maximum charge of 30 EUR per rental.
EXTRA INFORMATION AND COSTS
Snow chains are charged at 35 EUR per rental.
From the 15th of November till the 15th of April in several Italian regions and routes (mainly Northern-Central Italy but also some Central and Southern Italy - including the islands, where stated), the use of snow chains or winter tyres is mandatory.
However, if a vehicle equipped with winter tyres or all seasons tyres ( M+S Mud and Snow ) is delivered, the use of the snow chains is not mandatory anymore as per the Italian law ( "M + S" must be reported on the tyres), therefore, the snow chain will not be included in the rate.
Please note that in the same period the car picked up at the rental stations in Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria and the Abruzzi, if not equipped with snow tires, will be provided to the customer already equipped with chains (cost included in the total rental price).

For rentals in all other regions, the chains will be mandatorily required by the customer, in the case of driving in roads affected by the above-mentioned regulation.
In this circumstance, snow chains will be available at the following prices: 70.00 EUR plus vat
DELAYED OR DIVERTED FLIGHTS
The customer will have to claim a refund from the Airline Company, where a flight is delayed.
Reservations will be held for 2 hour(s) from the specified reservation, during the business open hours time, after which they will be classed as a no-show. If a customer arrives after this time then a vehicle is not assured. We will do everything possible to provide a vehicle. This may include offering a different vehicle and rates may be different to the original booking. Flight numbers provided are for informational purposes only. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform the location of any delays
Customers can hire the "Telepass" device at some locations, paying the daily charge of 3.00 EUR or a maximum cost of 10 days. This fee will be charged to customers up to 10 days of rental.
Adding "Telepass" on board , client will save time also paying for the corporate parking; parking in blue lanes, transit in the "C" Area of Milan and ferry tickets over the Strait of Messina.
At the end of the rental (exactly after 48 hours), clients will be charged for all the transactions registered by "Telepass" device during his rental period (if requested, a statement of the whole transactions will be emailed directly to client''s address).
FAST TRACK/EXPRESS SERVICE
Priority Check-in service has a charge of 42 EUR + Airport/downtown charges + VAT, this fee is to be paid locally.
The reservation must contain the following details: the exact customer’s name and surname; which must match the driving licence, driving licence number, driving licence date and place of issue, driving licence date of expiry, a valid and a contact number.
Only for families with children, already queued at our desks, it will be possible to request the "priority check-in" service.
ADDITIONAL DAMAGE/LOSS CHARGES
In case of damage or loss to the vehicle documents, the customer will be charged 63.00 EUR plus VAT.
In case of damage or loss to the vehicle keys, the customer will be charged 278.00 EUR plus VAT.
In case of damage or loss to the vehicle registration plates, the customer will be charged 443.00 EUR, per plate, plus VAT.
TRAFFIC ADMINISTRATION FINES
All fines issued for a violation of: the Street Code, missing tolls payment, unpaid parking tickets payments issued during the rental period will be notified to the customer. The customer will be charged on his credit card for a supplement of 50.00 EUR + VAT for each instance.

Please read the Terms and Conditions of your vehicle hire carefully before signing for the rental vehicle.
Please note, not all supplier excess waivers cover the following, unless otherwise stated in the excess waiver packages: damage to wheels, tyres, hubcaps, locks, windows, side and rear-view mirrors, undercarriage of the vehicle, suspension, damage to clutch, damage to exterior paintwork. Any damage and loss incurred not arising from general use.
If there is an option extra and service you do not want, you must ask for the removal of the item before signing the contract. Any option extra and service that is accepted with the customer’s signature will be charged to your credit card and Flexible Autos you will not be able to reimburse it later.
Driver negligence''s and deliberate damage/loss, are not covered by the suppliers insurance waivers, and will incur additional costs and administration charges, if the customer has been found to have acted against the terms and conditions of the rental agreement:
Dropping the rental vehicle off at a supplier office, other than agreed in the rental agreement.
Abandoning the vehicle.
All costs derived from the use of the incorrect and/or lack of petrol.
The supplier is not to be held liable for items stolen, forgotten or lost inside the vehicle. It is recommended having these items covered through personal travel cover.
The loss/damage of the vehicle documents and/or keys.
It is not permitted to remove the vehicles seats.
If the driver is found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and/or found using their cellular phone at the time of the accident.
Driving the vehicle when tired and not feeling well.
The use not permitted includes and is not limited to the following cases mentioned by way of example: Pushing or towing another vehicle.
Driving in areas not suited to public transport, such as beaches, race tracks, forestry roads, back roads, dirt roads and very poorly paved roads that could cause damage to the underside of the vehicle.
Driving the vehicle in restricted areas, and more specifically on airport roads and other roads for aeronautical and/or military use.
Negligent behaviour when the vehicle’s indicators show an alert that customer’s state are known to them when they sign the agreement.
Transport of goods or animals and, in particular, substances that are hazardous, inflammable and/or poisonous for the vehicle and its occupants.
The transport of individuals or goods for which the customers receive direct or indirect payment.
Using the vehicle for unlawful activities, reckless driving, sub-leasing the vehicle, giving driving lesson, or teaching special driving technics.
Transporting a number of passengers and amount of luggage not authorised for the vehicle concerned.
Manipulation of the speedometer. Customers must report any malfunction of the speedometer to the supplier immediately.
Transport of luggage or any other item on the vehicle’s roof, even when an adequate luggage rack is used for the purpose.
Damage to the vehicle caused by leaving tempting items in plain sight inside the vehicle.
Dirtying the inside of the vehicle beyond what would be expected from reasonable and careful use.
Driving against the traffic regulations.
The vehicle is driven by a person who is not authorised to do so in the agreement, as either a customer and/or a supplementary driver.
Continued use of the vehicle after the rental period has ended.
TERMS AND CONDITION AMENDMENTS
Flexible Autos makes every effort to ensure that all the information provided is correct at the time of booking. The terms and conditions presented in the rental voucher are reviewed and updated by the supplier on a regular basis. Flexible cars are not responsible for the updates if made after the booking has been made.
