The Additional Driver surcharge is charged per additional driver. All additional drivers need to meet the criteria of the main driver of the rental vehicle. Unless included in the cost of the booking, the additional driver fees are paid locally at the rental station.
A fee for picking up the rental car at the airport; it is applied to cover extra costs that the rental provider must pay to the airport authority.
The standard excess waiver product that is included in the rental price. The excess waiver reduces the amount the customer is responsible for, in the event of damage to the car. The rental provider waives the contractual liability that the customer would otherwise bear towards the rental vehicle. However, there will usually be exclusions within the CDW policy.
A charge that the consumer cannot avoid if they choose the rental offer.
The Cross border fee is charged to the customer when the rental vehicle is to be driven outside of the rental country. However, the rental vehicle is returned to the originating rental location. Information concerning the allowed cross borders, but country and rental provider can be found in the ‘Additional Information’ on the Flexible Autos website and in the suppliers Terms and Conditions. Cross border fees are paid locally at the rental location.
The deposit/pre-authorisation charge is the amount of money reserved on the customer’s credit card as a security deposit. The deposit is generally, all, or part of the excess amount, in addition to optional additional extras and in some cases a fuel deposit. For a minority of bookings, the rental provider may accept Debit Cards, however, the security deposit is generally higher.
The Excess policy details the amount of excess the customer is liable for in case of damage to the rental vehicle.
The ERP is an additional cover, provided by Flexible Autos. The customer may purchase this product in order to reduce their excess liability, or extending the cover provided by the CDW/LDW. The cover is a separate product from the car rental and the customer enters into a separate contract.
The exclusions indicate what services and/or fees are not included in the cost of the booking. The fees will need to be paid at the rental location.
The Inclusions list the products and services included in the booking price of the rental vehicle
The International one-way fee is charged when a customer wishes to pick the rental vehicle up in one country and drop the rental vehicle off in another. The International one-way fee is paid locally at the rental location.
The one-way fee is often charged when the consumer wants to drop-off the rental vehicle at a different location to the pick-up location, within the borders of the rental country. Occasionally referred to as the 'drop-off charge' however, not to be confused with the 'Out of Hours' drop-off fee. The one-way fee is paid locally at the rental location.
An additional charge related to the supply of fuel, if the rental vehicle is returned to the rental provider with less than the expected amount of fuel.
National, state and local taxes are not always included in the cost of the booking.

The Fuel Policy details the amount of fuel the rental vehicle will be supplied with when the rental vehicle is picked up. Along with the rental provider’s expectation of the fuel level when the rental vehicle will be returned.
The Fuel Policy will indicate where possible, if the policy is:
a) Full to Full
b) Full to Empty
c) Same to Same
d) Initial tank of fuel is freee of charge
The Fuel Policy will also indicate, where possible:
a) If a deposit is required at the time of pick-up
b) If the customer pays for a tank of fuel at the time of pick-up
c) If there is a Pre-Paid option available
d) The fuel refuelling costs, per litre/gallon

The optional extras are items which are paid locally at the rental location, instead of being charged for at the time of booking. These can include, but not limited to: baby/child/booster seats (compulsory in some countries), GPS units, snow chains and winter tyres.
The Out of Hours charge may apply where the customer wants to pick up and/or drop off the car outside the rental provider’s opening hours. Out of hours fees, if applicable, are paid locally at the rental location.
The Premium Products is available in selected locations. The Premium Products reduce and or eliminate a deposit at the beginning of the rental period, and reduce or eliminate the customer’s excess liability.
The Senior Driver surcharge is paid by senior driver, the age group for the surcharge is dependent on the supplier. If a Senior Driver Surcharge is applicable, this can be found on the supplier Terms and Conditions. The Senior Driver Surcharge is paid locally at the rental location.
The Theft Protection Waiver is included in the booking cost of the rental. The waiver covers the customer in case the rental vehicle has been stolen during the rental period. Providing the vehicles keys have not been left inside the rental vehicle at the time the car was stolen.
The Young Driver surcharge is charged to the majority young drivers, the age group for the surcharge is dependent on the supplier. If a Young Driver Surcharge is applicable, this can be found on the supplier Terms and Conditions. The Young Driver Surcharge is paid locally at the rental location.
